Midgies – How I hate thee.

Have you ever went to your local travel agent, Wanting a quiet get away? Perhaps one of the places they suggest is Scotland. They tell you what a glorious country it is with its beautiful landscape, lovely beaches and breathtaking glens, They may warn you about the occasional spot of rain or perhaps the ‘neds. One thing though, That they conveniently forgot to mention is the flying-irritus-canivorous-midgitious – Or more commonly known as the midgie.

The midgie was created on the 6th of June 2006 by German scientists who took the DNA of locus, Man eating piranha and the African mosquito and combined them together while reciting incantations over a pentagram to summon forth the satanic blood thirsty superbugs from the very spawns of hell. The scientist were then promptly devoured alive and there corpses were used to host the larva of the first wave of the deadly invasion.

Midgies have since began a rampage to find the most tender succulent flesh on the market – So they naturally come to Scotland where even the men are feminine enough to use skincare products and where skirts.

Midgies have been known to eat a fully grown man alive in thirty seconds flat – Those lucky enough to escape there carnivorous wrath are subject to grouse boils the size of walnuts in every skin pore and orifice across there body where they were tongue fucked by these lethal creatures.

In short – I really hate midgies.

Keep an eye out for next weeks journal – Entitled, Spiders – How I hate thee.

…is a lie – How could something that requires 2 people, 230 bolts and screws as well as containing instructions like “Connect the interlocking poles Ab and Ac to the conjunction of Bc and Bd, Fastening with Bolt type B at each socket : Repeat for Aa and Ad” be classed as “Easy Self Assembly”.

Anyway, 7 Hrs later I have a high bed (A bunk bed with a desk underneath instead of a second bed). Best nights sleep in awhile (Mainly because I was exhausted from making it up).

SoooOoo – This game has been sitting unopened for a few months now, finally got around to playing it a coupe of days ago.

Currently I’m a Sandwraith – Trying to get back to the throne room.

Overall – I like the game, some of its puzzles are a lot less linear than the previous game (By that I mean its not always obvious where you have to go) and the combat system has been improved upon (Although once you’re a sand wraith you’re virtually unstoppable).

From what I’ve seen of the story thus far – Its not that great, one of the biggest plot twists was soooo obvious it wasn’t funny – But I haven’t completed the game yet, So its still got time to redeem itself.

The length of the game is a little off putting as well, Sure I enjoy long game but this one is just a little TOO long and what worse is that it forces you to go back to several areas you have already cleared – Multiple times. It just gets dull after a while.

On a lighter note though – I do enjoy playing PoP on my PSP, And it’s a lot better than some of the games for the PSP.

What’s everyone else’s view’s on the game? Likes dislike?
